Travelling from Ireland? Italy is inside EU roaming, so a bill-pay plan may already cover you. This eSIM is for prepay customers, fair-use caps, family hotspotting, or anyone arriving from outside the EU. Here's how to decide.

Installing your Italy eSIM
- Buy and check your email. Your QR code and a manual activation code arrive within a minute. Check spam if not.
- Scan on Wi-Fi at home. iPhone: Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM. Android: Settings → Network → SIMs → Add eSIM. Label it "Vibqo Italy".
- Leave it off until you land. Keep your Irish SIM as the default for calls. On arrival, turn on the Vibqo line, set it as the mobile-data line, and enable Data Roaming for it.

Italy eSIM FAQ
Which network does the Italy eSIM use?
It connects to TIM and Vodafone, with automatic fallback to WindTre where available. Expect 4G LTE / 5G wherever the network provides it.
I'm on an Irish plan. Do I need an eSIM for Italy?
Italy is inside the EU roaming zone, so bill-pay plans usually include your domestic allowance. An eSIM makes sense if your plan has a low fair-use cap, you're on a prepay bundle with limited roaming data, you're sharing a hotspot with family, or you're travelling from outside the EU. Check your plan's roaming page first; we'd rather you didn't buy what you don't need.
When does the 7-day or 30-day validity start?
Only when the eSIM first connects to a network in Italy. You can install it days or weeks in advance.
Can I use the hotspot in Italy?
Yes. Tethering to a laptop, tablet or a travel companion's phone is allowed on every plan.
Can I make calls or send texts?
Plans are data-only. Use WhatsApp, FaceTime or Signal for calls. Your Irish number keeps receiving calls and texts on your physical SIM.
Can I top up if I run out?
Yes. Top-ups are available from the order portal while your plan is active, and apply without reinstalling anything.
