How Vibqo works
An eSIM is a SIM card that lives in software. Instead of a plastic card, you scan a QR code and a data plan appears in your phone next to your existing SIM.
Check your phone (30 seconds)
iPhone XS or newer, Google Pixel 3 or newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 or newer and most Android phones since 2020 support eSIM. It must be carrier-unlocked. Run the checker.
Choose destination & plan
Prices are in euro and include VAT. Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal on our secure order portal. The QR code and a manual code arrive by email within a minute.
Scan at home, on Wi-Fi
Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM → scan. Takes about a minute. Keep the new line switched off (or data roaming off) until you land.
Land and switch on
Turn the Vibqo line on, set it as your mobile-data line, enable Data Roaming for it. Your phone finds the local network within a minute or two. The validity period starts now, not before.
Keep your number
Your Irish SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts. WhatsApp keeps your Irish number because it's tied to your account, not to the SIM carrying the data.
Top up or let it expire
Running low? Top up from the order portal, no reinstall. Finished? The eSIM simply expires. Delete it or keep it for the next trip's top-up.
What an eSIM is not
- It doesn't replace your Irish SIM or number.
- It doesn't include calls or SMS (use WhatsApp or FaceTime).
- It can't be moved to a second phone once installed.
- It doesn't work at sea or in the air.
Why not just roam?
Inside the EU, maybe you should, if your plan's fair-use cap is generous. Outside the EU, Irish carriers charge daily passes or per-megabyte rates. Compare honestly →
