Get your eSIM

Installing your Vibqo eSIM

Do this on Wi-Fi at home before you travel. It takes about two minutes. Validity doesn't start until the eSIM connects abroad.

iPhone

  1. Open the Vibqo email on another screen (laptop, tablet, or a second phone) so you can scan the QR code. Alternatively, on iOS 17+, long-press the QR image in Mail and choose Add eSIM.
  2. Go to Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM → Use QR Code and scan.
  3. Tap Continue, then label the line (e.g. "Vibqo Spain"). When asked for default line, keep your Irish SIM as default for voice and iMessage.
  4. Set Mobile Data to the Vibqo line only when you land. Until then, leave it on your Irish SIM.
  5. On arrival: Settings → Mobile Data → Vibqo line → Turn On This Line, then Data Roaming → On. Set Mobile Data to the Vibqo line.

Manual entry: Add eSIM → Enter Details Manually, then paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your email.

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Go to Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM.
  2. Tap Scan QR code and scan the code from your Vibqo email on another screen. Or choose Enter activation code and paste the code from the email.
  3. Confirm. Name the eSIM "Vibqo" so it's easy to find.
  4. Keep your Irish SIM as Preferred SIM for calls and messages. Leave Mobile data on your Irish SIM until you land.
  5. On arrival: SIM manager → switch the Vibqo eSIM on → set it as Mobile data SIM → Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Data roaming → On for the Vibqo line.

Google Pixel

  1. Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add SIM → Download a SIM instead?
  2. Tap Next, scan the QR code (or Need help? → Enter it manually).
  3. Activate. Choose your Irish SIM for calls and texts.
  4. On arrival: SIMs → Vibqo → turn on Use SIM, Mobile data and Roaming.

Other Android (Xiaomi, OPPO, Sony, Motorola, etc.)

  1. Open Settings and search for "eSIM" or "SIM management".
  2. Choose Add eSIM / Download a SIM and scan the QR code, or enter the activation code manually.
  3. Keep your Irish SIM as the default for calls.
  4. On arrival, enable the Vibqo line, set it as the data SIM, and turn Data Roaming on for that line.

Three things people get wrong

  • Deleting the eSIM. A QR code installs once. Don't remove the line to "reinstall it".
  • Data roaming off. The Vibqo line needs Data Roaming on. This does not affect your Irish SIM's roaming charges.
  • Wrong data line. If your Irish SIM is still the mobile-data line, you're roaming on your Irish plan.
